RONALD A. KNEPPER

The artist’s works are a gathering of metaphorical components to create a compositional form. Quirkiness in the balance of the composition and a tongue in cheek directive to the approach of the subject matter reverberates in a cerebral interplay of structure. The works are composed of multifarious elements; some modeled, some constructed, and others appropriated. Each portion of the composition is utilized as a formalistic dialogue; and the surfaces are treated as contrasting elements, with colors, materials, textures, and placements allowing the viewer to create his or her own narrative.
